Formerly known as DANUBIANA or CHIMICA, the company was founded in 1972 and was one of the firm handling foreign trade in the Socialist era for the romainan chemicals industry, one of the most important pillars of the country’s manufacturing sector.

It took the name of ROMFERCHIM in 1991 and in september 1994 became private 100%.

Besides the export of fertilizers and the import of raw material for fertilizers production, SC ROMFERCHIM SA, exported and imported a wide range of drugs, cosmetics, industrial chemicals dyestuffs.

For the development and growth of the Romanian chemical industry, since 1991 a new activity was extended in the company having as main pourpose the modernization and revamping of the chemical plants.

The practice and experience of the western European companies show that only the specialised companies are succesfull in an open, stabile, competition environment.

These measures conducted in 2002 to the partition of the company, SC ROMFERCHIM being involved mainly in the fertilisers field and also in a small range of chemical products.

These two fields of activity are build based on the fact that SC ROMFERCHIM SA is one of the main shareholders of the “AMONIL SA SLOBOZIA” Romanian fertilizers producer and also shareholder of “CHICOMPLEX S.A. BORZESTI” one of the main Romanian producers of solution and flakes caustic soda and other chemical products.

As a recognition of the good services provided to our clients and partners, the quality management system of ROMFERCHIM complies with the requirements of the international standard EN ISO 9001: 2000.

The company’s goal since 1991 and especially since privatize, has been to improve continously the quality of its performance and to become a modern reliable, service provider.
